It installs SweetFX to your games for you and makes tweaking settings and managing separate settings for separate games simple. Must be an option somewhere to switch it back)ĭownload the SweetFX Configurator. If the game's not running in dx9 it won't work. ThebigJ_A wrote:SMAA in SweetFX uses dx9. This way they get less jaggies while also having a sharper image. I'm just saying if people can't get SweetFX's SMAA working then they can at least enable the in-game FXAA and then use SweetFX's sharpening filter to counteract the blurriness. I don't know why it's not working in WL2 for me, it works in every other game. SMAA isn't the same as MSAA, it's a post processing AA filter just like FXAA but higher quality and less blurry. I also suggest you disable the ingame AA which defeats the whole point of a clearer image because Unity uses TXAA/FXAA(which blur the whole screen, textures included as they lack edge detection) as these seem to be the only AA solutions which work with a deferred rendering method(Which is why SMAA/MSAA, ect do not work).Īlso if your computer is strong enough to use injected post process filters you should be able to run the game at a high enough resolution which drastically reduces the need for any AA. If you want sharper distant textures, you can enable anisotropic filters from your video cards control panel while disabling in-game filtering (8x seems to work fine).
